About Lucia
The relationship I build with clients is my priority, and I bring over ten years of experience supporting communities in Los Angeles through challenging and turbulent moments. My work has included providing Functional Family Therapy to probation youth and their families, as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to children, always with an emphasis on drawing from individual strengths. What sets me apart is the compassion and commitment I bring to every client, along with the ability to balance effective therapeutic interventions with genuine human connection. I believe therapy should be tailored to honor each person’s unique story, resilience, and goals rather than follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Clients who work with me can expect a collaborative process grounded in trust, empathy, and evidence-based strategies designed to create meaningful and lasting change. I have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from California State University, Long Beach in Child Development and Family Studies. I am fluent in Spanish. I take on a multicultural, strength-based perspective, understanding and recognizing the differences, strengths, and uniqueness of individuals and communities. Together, we will build the skills necessary to obtain a greater sense of self-awareness and a strong foundation for healthy relationships.
