Does Any of This Sound Familiar?

You're not alone — and you're not broken. These are the moments that bring most of our clients through the door.

You can't turn your brain off

Racing thoughts, constant worry, and a knot in your stomach that won't go away.

Your relationship feels like a battlefield

You love each other, but every conversation turns into an argument or awkward silence.

You feel stuck and don't know why

You know something needs to change, but you can't figure out what — or how.

Self-doubt is running the show

You second-guess every decision and never feel like you're doing enough.

You're exhausted from holding it all together

Everyone thinks you're fine, but inside you're barely keeping up.

If you recognized yourself in any of these, therapy can help. And you don't have to figure it out alone.

The Right Support Changes Everything

At Positive Counseling Center, you're not just another appointment. You're matched with a therapist who specializes in exactly what you're going through.

We're a group practice — which means our team brings together specialists in anxiety, couples therapy, family dynamics, psychiatry, and more. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, you get someone who truly understands your situation and has the tools to help you move forward.

Do I really need therapy?

If something in your life feels harder than it should, therapy can help. You don't need to be in crisis — most of our clients come in because they want to feel better, not because they've hit rock bottom.

How do I know which therapist is right for me?

That's our job. When you reach out, we'll learn about your situation and match you with a therapist who specializes in what you're going through. And if the fit isn't right, we'll find someone who is.

Do you accept insurance?

Please contact us for current insurance information. We're happy to discuss payment options during your initial call.

What are your cash rates?

Individual therapy is $225 for the intake session and $185 for follow-up sessions. Couples therapy is $225 for the intake session and $200 for follow-up sessions.

What happens in the first session?

Your first session is about getting comfortable. Your therapist will ask about what brought you in, learn about your background, and together you'll set some initial goals. There's no pressure — it's a conversation, not an interrogation.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. We offer teletherapy via phone or video for clients who prefer remote sessions or can't make it to our San Pedro or Long Beach offices.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on your goals and situation. Some clients see meaningful progress in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term support. Your therapist will work with you to find what's right.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Yes. We see clients in person at both of our offices — San Pedro and Bixby Knolls in Long Beach. You can also meet by phone or video if that fits your schedule better, and you can switch between in-person and teletherapy as your needs change.

Not Sure Where You Stand?

Take a quick, private self-assessment. It's not a diagnosis — just a helpful place to start the conversation.

Your Path Forward Starts with One Step

You've already done the hardest part — admitting something needs to change. Let us help you figure out the rest.
